Family Ministries
The family ministry at Highland Baptist Church is placed as a priority to build strong families where Christ is the head of the home and where each family member understands and applies God's principles of family life. To accomplish this, classes on parenting and marriage issues are offered for adults. Children and teens are taught their responsibilities during the Sunday School hour, and special events are planned throughout the year to build and strengthen Christian family bonds.
Young Families
Because we place a high emphasis upon families we have a Young Families group that gets together once every other month for activities that will encourage Young Families in their faith and grow them in their Christlikeness. We also have Sunday School classes throughout the year that focus upon the needs and challenges of marriage and raising children. If your family consists of you and your spouse, or the two of you and a bunch of little ones, or you as a single parent, plan to join us for these times of fun, fellowship, and edification.

The goal of our calling ministry is to meet the special needs of our church family or contacting others looking for a church home.

We believe the Bible is sufficient to answer all the needs in the lives of people. The truth of God goes to the root causes, changing the problem typically rooted in the heart of men, not just what is evident on the surface.
Ultimately of course, it is a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ that makes a lasting change in the lives of people.
Our Counselors
Our qualified counseling staff consists of our Pastors and other godly men and women who, first and foremost, know the Lord as their personal savior.
They have been formally trained in counseling and the Bible. Some of our counselors have specialty areas of understanding. Some of our past counseling issues include:

- and self injury, among others.
