Who We Are
We are an independent, Bible-believing, evangelistic, separated, growing, Baptist Church. At Highland Baptist Church the Bible is our ONLY authority for what we believe and practice. We proclaim God's Word without reservation or apology.
What We Believe
The BIBLE is the verbal (every word) plenary (complete) inspired Word of God.
MAN was made in the image of God by special creation and has not evolved from some lower form of animal. He willfully sinned against God and thereby incurred spiritual and physical death. He is a sinner by birth and by choice.
HEAVEN is a prepared place only for those who have taken Christ as their Savior. It is a literal place for all of the redeemed.
HELL is a lake of fire prepared by God for the Devil and his angels plus all who die without Jesus Christ as their Savior.
SALVATION is a gift of God. All people need to be saved and are totally helpless to save themselves. Man must be saved by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as their own
savior from sin and hell.
The LOCAL CHURCH is a body of immersed believers assembled for worship and service, and commissioned to take the Gospel into the world.
SEPARATION is a most important characteristic of the true Christian. They ought to be morally clean and personally guided by the scriptures in all things. While allowing for religious freedom of all people, a Christian ought not to be organized with religious groups not of like faith.
Why We Exist
Highland Baptist Church exists as a church to glorify God by ministering the gospel to unbelievers, bringing them to membership, discipling them to spiritual maturity, and equipping them for ministry.
